SPIN (Skin Inflammation & Psoriasis International Network) is an action for professionals and patients initiated by the FRT – Fondation René Touraine, an international non-profit and non-governmental charity dedicated to support therapeutic progress in dermatology.

SPIN brings together:

A scientific committee of 56 members, 105 national representatives, 70 patient associations, and 4,000 dermatologists from 100 countries.

This network was initiated by a group of European experts in psoriasis. It has grown throughout the years by welcoming more experts in this area but also new ones in atopic dermatitis (since 2017), in vitiligo (since 2020), in alopecia and hidradenitis suppurativa (since 2022). For the coming years, SPIN will pursue its growth. SPIN’s mission is to improve the quality of healthcare for patients suffering from chronic inflammatory skin diseases, while developing national and international collaborations in the field of skin inflammation. Its goal is to raise awareness for the immune-mediated inflammatory diseases it covers but also to create synergies between them. Its actions are developped according to 3 axes as displayed in the strategic framework below.

The SPIN 2025 Congress, organized by the Skin Inflammation and Psoriasis International Network, brings together world-renowned experts to address a wide range of inflammatory skin diseases, including psoriasis, alopecia areata, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and vitiligo. This evolution from PIN to SPIN reflects a broader focus on advancing research, resources, and discussions around skin inflammation.

The congress features innovative formats, including plenary sessions fostering interdisciplinary discussions, in-depth parallel sessions on specific diseases, and a dedicated forum for residents. A poster walk provides an opportunity for young professionals to engage in detailed discussions, while global perspectives and interactive presentations enhance the exchange of knowledge. With additional unique elements such as a rooftop event in Paris, the SPIN 2025 Congress offers a dynamic platform to explore and contribute to the latest developments in dermatology.
